Neptune Flood announced May 1 that its premium in force has surpassed $300 million and insured value has exceeded more than $100 billion. The private flood insurance provider now serves over 235,000 policyholders across 49 states and Washington, D.C.
According to a statement, the company attributes its continued growth to its proprietary, AI-driven underwriting platform, which delivers instant quotes and simplifies flood insurance purchasing for homeowners and businesses.
“This milestone is a reflection of the growing strength of the private flood insurance market,” said Trevor Burgess, chief executive officer of Neptune Flood. “As the National Flood Insurance Program faces growing challenges, private insurers like Neptune are stepping up with modern, scalable alternatives.”
Founded in 2018, and headquartered in St. Petersburg, Neptune has paid out more than $250 million in claims, with the highest number resulting from Hurricane Helene, in 2024. The company partners with 25 insurers and reinsurers and is preparing to launch in Alaska.
