Summer Staycations: Walt Disney World tops list of most ‘Instagrammable’ U.S. attractions

For Tampa Bay residents, the best ‘Insta-worthy’ attraction is not far away.

While Tampa Bay is home to some of Florida’s best beaches, parks and photo ops, the most Instagrammed tourist attraction in the country lies just over an hour away: Walt Disney World.

According to a new study by French travel site lucky-7-bonus.fr, the Orlando-based theme park resort tops the list of the most hashtagged destinations in the United States, with more than 11.3 million Instagram posts. That’s more than double the number for the Grand Canyon and nearly triple that of Niagara Falls.

Disney’s top ranking puts Florida firmly in the spotlight, ahead of iconic destinations like Central Park, Times Square and the Empire State Building. The findings were based on Instagram hashtag data pulled from major tourist sites across the country.

The analysis highlights a growing trend: travelers and influencers increasingly plan trips around picture-perfect backdrops. And for many in the Tampa Bay area, one of the world’s most photogenic destinations is right in their backyard.

The list also featured several other top attractions across the U.S., including New York’s Broadway, Venice Beach, in California, and Arizona’s Grand Canyon. But no destination topped Disney’s numbers.

So, if you’re looking to fill your grid with magical content this summer, you won’t have to book a flight. A short drive east could land you in the most camera-ready destination in the country.
