Coke Florida earns top national recognition, for fourth year in a row

Jo-Lynn Brown May 29, 2025

Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, better known as Coke Florida, was recognized as one of the nation’s top privately held companies, earning a spot on the 2025 U.S. Best Managed Companies list presented by Deloitte Private and The Wall Street Journal.

This marks the fourth consecutive year the Tampa-based bottler has received the honor, elevating it to “Gold Status” among winners, according to a statement.

Coke Florida is one of only two Florida-based companies named to this year’s list. The second was Seminole Gaming/Hard Rock International, based in Davie.

Founded in 2015, Coke Florida operates throughout Florida, from Jacksonville to the Florida Keys. The company employs more than 5,000 people and is the third-largest privately held Coca-Cola bottler in the United States, the statement said.

Founder and chief executive officer Troy Taylor credited Coke Florida’s frontline associates as the driving force behind the company’s success.

“The two greatest things we have going for us are the Coke brands and our people,” Taylor said. “Our frontline associates are the face of our Coke brands. When you bring those things together and you execute, that’s when we win.”

The Best Managed Companies designation evaluates businesses across four key categories: strategy, execution, culture and financial performance.

The company’s 10th anniversary will be officially marked on May 29.
