Tampa broker Mark Middleton joins Compass, expanding tech-forward real estate presence

Jo-Lynn Brown May 29, 2025

Tampa Bay real estate veteran Mark Middleton has joined Compass, bringing his team and more than $22 million, in 2024 sales, to the brokerage.

Middleton, founder of Silver Trident Realty, is a University of South Florida graduate and longtime Dunedin resident, he ranks in the top 1% of real estate agents nationwide and serves as vice president of the Pinellas REALTOR Organization and board member of Florida REALTORS, according to a statement.

With this move, Compass continues to strengthen its foothold in West Central Florida. The brokerage is known for its end-to-end platform built specifically for agents, featuring AI-driven pricing tools, marketing automation and seamless transaction management, the statement said.

“I chose Compass because the technology is simply unmatched,” said Middleton. “This move allows me and my team to deliver the absolute best to our clients while growing our business with intention and impact.”

Founded in 2012 and headquartered in New York City, Compass is the largest residential real estate brokerage in the U.S. by sales volume. Its network also includes Christie’s International Real Estate.
