Tampa Bay Trust Company rebrands

Jo-Lynn Brown November 27, 2025

As part of a larger rebranding effort by its parent company, the Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, the Tampa Bay Trust Company will now operate as Florida Trust Wealth Management.

The announcement coincides with the company’s 25th anniversary season and brings all seven of its Florida offices under one unified brand. Former divisions including The Naples Trust Company and The Tampa Bay Trust Company will now all share the Florida Trust Wealth Management name.

“This is a deeply meaningful milestone,” said S. Albert D. Hanser, founder and chairman. “Achieving this level of financial growth in less than 25 years speaks to the talent and hard work of our team members and the trust our clients place in us.”

Hanser founded the company in 2001, from a one-room office on Sanibel Island. Since then, Florida Trust has grown to manage more than $5 billion in assets, serving high-net-worth individuals, families, businesses, foundations and endowments throughout the state.

The Tampa Bay Trust opened a new 10,000-square-foot office in Fort Myers. Other Florida offices include Tampa, Belleair Bluffs, Tarpon Springs, Sanibel-Captiva, Naples and Marco Island, as well as a marketing office in Cashiers, North Carolina.

“Florida Trust Wealth Management better represents who we are and where we’re going,” Hanser said. “It unifies our presence across the Gulf Coast and underscores our long-term commitment to Florida’s communities.”

Florida Trust Wealth Management is an independent, state-chartered trust company focused on absolute-return oriented and performance-driven wealth management. Its services include investment management, trust administration and financial counsel tailored to families and institutions seeking a long-term partner.
