Republic Bank & Trust Company has announced two key leadership promotions within its executive ranks, naming Christy Ames as executive vice president, chief legal officer and general counsel, and Scott Nardi as senior vice president, chief risk and compliance officer.
Ames, who joined Republic Bank in 2018, has more than 25 years of legal experience in the banking and finance sectors. She now oversees the bank’s Legal and Audit departments and serves as corporate secretary for Republic Bancorp and Republic Bank & Trust Company. Her responsibilities have also included leadership roles in the Learning & Development, Compliance and Information Security departments.
Nardi, who also joined the bank in 2018, previously served as chief compliance officer and will now lead the Compliance, Risk, BSA, Fraud and Security departments. His background includes more than 20 years of legal experience in financial services.
Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, Republic Bank operates 47 banking centers across five states. That includes seven banking centers within the Tampa Bay region, with locations in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Seminole, Largo and New Port Richey.
