Tampa Bay has emerged as the largest market in the country for Junior Achievement’s 3DE instructional model.
The Hillsborough County School Board recently approved plans to add 3DE to Plant High School and Brandon High School in the 2026-27 school year. That expansion follows this fall’s launch of 3DE at Largo High School and Seminole High School, in Pinellas County. In total, the program now reaches 15 schools across four Tampa Bay area districts, more than any other region in the United States, including Georgia, where 3DE first launched, according to a statement.
The program integrates project-based learning and business partnerships into high school classrooms, with more than 45 industry partners in the region, including ReliaQuest and Raymond James. Students complete more than a dozen real-world projects during their high school years, gaining skills such as critical thinking, collaboration and public speaking.
