Tampa-based Primo Brands names new CEO

Primo Brands names Eric Foss Chairman and CEO, signaling new growth for the Tampa-based beverage leader.

Primo Brands Corporation (NYSE: PRMB), a leading North American beverage company with dual headquarters in Tampa and Stamford, Connecticut, has appointed Eric Foss as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer effective immediately.

Foss succeeds Robbert Rietbroek, who led the company through its first year following the merger that created Primo Brands.

Foss, a veteran executive known for steering global consumer brands, previously served as Chairman and CEO of multiple beverage and direct store distribution businesses. He has also served on the board of Primo Brands and its predecessor, Primo Water, which has given him deep familiarity with the company’s operations and strategy.

Seasoned leadership

“Eric knows the company well and brings extensive experience in brand building and operational excellence,” said Dean Metropoulos, Director and former Non-Executive Chairman of Primo Brands. “He is highly qualified to lead Primo Brands’ next chapter of growth and value creation.”

Foss described the company’s market position as strong and expanding, citing the ongoing momentum from last year’s business combination. “Primo Brands is well-positioned in the large and growing healthy hydration market,” Foss said. “We have a leading portfolio, a strong go-to-market system and a team of talented and committed teammates.”

He added that the company sees “multiple growth vectors” ahead, with a continued emphasis on innovation and customer focus. Foss also thanked Rietbroek for his leadership in establishing Primo Brands as a North American beverage leader.

Smooth transition

Metropoulos said his decision to step down as Non-Executive Chairman comes at a natural transition point as Primo Brands enters a new phase of integration and growth. He will remain on the board as a Director.

“I believe now is the right time to step away as Non-Executive Chairman,” Metropoulos said. “Eric’s extensive experience in consumer-driven, service-oriented business models will drive progress at Primo Brands.”

Hydration powerhouse

Primo Brands employs more than 12,000 people and manages one of the industry’s most extensive networks for bottled and packaged water distribution. The company’s portfolio includes well-known brands such as Poland Spring, Pure Life, Saratoga, Mountain Valley, Zephyrhills, Deer Park and Primo Water.

Its vertically integrated coast-to-coast distribution system delivers hydration products to retail outlets, hospitality venues, hospitals and homes across the U.S. and Canada.

The company also operates one of the nation’s largest refill and exchange networks for reusable water bottles and filtration units, advancing its sustainability and waste reduction goals.

With its Tampa headquarters serving as a hub for operations, logistics and brand management, Primo Brands’ leadership shift reflects both a consolidation of strategy and a renewed focus on long-term shareholder value.
