MassageLuXe is expanding its Tampa Bay footprint with a 2,650-square-foot spa in Apollo Beach, adding another location to a regional network that already stretches from South Tampa to St. Petersburg and Palm Harbor.
The new spa will be the largest of three tenant spaces in a 5,250-square-foot retail building at Waterset Town Center, at 6237 Seawind Court.
Its layout calls for six massage rooms, an aesthetician room, a HydroLuXe treatment room and a LuXe Lounge, a branded footprint that extends beyond the treatment rooms to exterior signage and product displays.
That footprint reaches into the construction itself, with plans dividing responsibility for equipment, finishes and other components among MassageLuXe corporate, the franchisee, contractors and vendors.
Apollo Beach will join existing MassageLuXe locations in South Tampa, Westchase, Lutz, St. Petersburg and Palm Harbor, while the franchise also operates nearby in Parrish and Lakewood Ranch.
MassageLuXe says its spas, which offer massage, skin care and waxing services, are independently owned and operated.
Hillsborough County filings leave the Apollo Beach franchisee unidentified and do not disclose the investment, expected employment or opening date, although the project has advanced into permitting.
