Great Places & Spaces: St. Pete’s 2nd Street tower

A new high-rise development has been proposed for downtown St. Petersburg at the corner of Third Avenue North and Second Street North, where Sundial valet parking and Fit 2 Run currently sit.

The proposed tower would be 25 stories tall, with 100 residential units, three of them being larger penthouse units.

The proposal includes 7,000 square feet of ground-level retail space, a five-level parking garage, two floors dedicated to resident amenities, including a pool, 15 floors of residential units, six per floor, as well as the penthouse units on the top floor.

The project is a joint venture between Steven Gianfilippo, owner of Cordova Inn and Station House, and Blake Whitney Thompson, CEO of Blake, which owns Mandarin Hide and Trophy Fish.
