►Summit, a Lakeland workers’ compensation insurance company, is planning to build a 135,000-square-foot, nine-story building at the northwest corner of Lake Mirror in downtown Lakeland.

► Curry Mango, an Indian restaurant with two tandoor ovens and seating for 130 indoors and 40 on a patio, opened at 6625 Florida Ave. S., Lakeland.

Project Skylab

►The Central Florida Aerospace Center for Excellence announced Project Skylab, a $4.5 million project that will add an 8,000-square-foot classroom facility with a holographic theater to its 14-building campus at Sun ‘n Fun in Lakeland.

► David Hungerford, a senior advisor at SVN | Saunders Ralston Dantzler Real Estate, was appointed as an adjunct instructor at the Barney Barnett School of Business and Free Enterprise at Florida Southern College.

► AltMed Florida opened a Müv medical cannabis dispensary at 224 N. Florida Ave., Lakeland.

► Brennan Investment Group, a Chicago-based developer, is planning a second spec warehouse near the intersection of Interstate 4 and the Polk Parkway, north of Florida Polytechnic University.

► Assistant Police Chief Mike Link retired from the Lakeland Police Department after more than 34 years.
