Facial plastic surgery center to celebrate grand opening with a charitable angle

Anthony Aesthetics Facial Plastic Surgery will celebrate its grand opening on May 25.

Dr. Charles Anthony, II, owner of Anthony Aesthetics grew up in the Tampa Bay area and, previously, was part of a large practice in Sarasota.

“I knew I wanted to set up a practice in the Tampa or St. Petersburg market because it’s home for me,” says Anthony.

Raffle giveaways will include a year’s worth of Botox, cheek fillers, lip fillers and more, with all the proceeds going to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation.

Anthony says his passion for supporting breast cancer research stems from watching his mother battle the disease.

“It was devastating to us but she took it all in stride and got through it,” he says. “It’s one of those fields where they can make a lot of advancements. It’s a great place for medicine to focus its efforts on because it’s something we can certainly make a difference in.”

Anthony is a board-certified Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon who specializes in facial plastic surgery and aesthetic rejuvenation of the face. He went to high school at Berkeley Prep. He did his residency and fellowship in Tampa at the University of South Florida, Tampa General Hospital and the VA under Charles Slonim, the team doctor for Tampa Bay Lightning.

The grand opening celebration will take place at 1901 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St., N., St. Petersburg, from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., with the ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for 5 p.m.

The event will have live music, an artist doing live paintings, catering and an open bar.
