Tampa Bay philanthropists to be honored at Junior Achievement Spirit of Achievement Awards

Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay will honor three Tampa Bay area philanthropists at its annual Spirit of Achievement Awards Dinner.

The gala event, scheduled for March 7, at the Marriott Water Side, in Downtown Tampa, celebrates individuals who have made a significant impact on the Tampa Bay community through their dedication to service, donations and contributions of time and resources.

The three philanthropists being honored in 2024 include:

Rondé Barber: Barber is a pro-Football Hall of Fame 2023 inductee, former NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers player, sports analyst and philanthropist.

Carol Jenkins Barnett (1956 – 2021): From 1991 to 2016, Jenkins Barnett was president of Publix Super Markets Charities and was a member of the board of directors of Publix Super Markets, since 1983.

Sheriff Chad Chronister: Chronister has served with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office for 28 years.
