One Liners Sarasota and Manatee: New College of Florida, PGT Innovations and more

The Boatyard, a 2.03-acre mixed-use property on Siesta Key, sold for $8.9 million, according to Sarasota County property records, to Chris Brown, a Sarasota area entrepreneur, real estate investor and co-founder of the Above the Bar Hospitality Group.

Venice’s PGT Innovations’ president and chief executive officer Jeff Jackson has been appointed to the board of Astec Industries, a publicly traded manufacturer of specialized equipment for asphalt road building, aggregate processing and concrete production.
