One Liners Polk: Avelo Airlines, Nordstrom and more

Avelo Airlines announced nonstop flights between Lakeland Linder International Airport (LAL) and Nashville International Airport (BNA), in Tennessee, starting March 6, 2025, offering twice-weekly service on Thursdays and Sundays. 

Dr. Daniel Haight, vice president of community health and medical director of infection prevention at Lakeland Regional Health, was named a Fellow by the Infectious Diseases Society of America.

Nordstrom announced plans to open a Nordstrom Rack, in Lakeland, at the Lakeside Village shopping center, in fall 2025.

Bill Braswell, Michael Scott and Becky Troutman were sworn in as Polk County commissioners at an investiture ceremony, at the Polk County Administration building.
