Creative Contractors completes two major projects

Jo-Lynn Brown January 20, 2025

Creative Contractors, a commercial contractor based in Clearwater, recently completed two major projects: the Genshaft & Greenbaum Building of Learning and Discovery at Tampa Preparatory School and a gymnasium addition at the Spurlino Family YMCA in Riverview. The projects, totaling $27.8 million, highlight the company’s contributions to education and community infrastructure in the Tampa Bay area.

At Tampa Preparatory School, Creative Contractors completed a $21.2 million facility featuring a 34,773-square-foot, four-story building and a 15,877-square-foot campus renovation. The facility includes advanced science labs for biology, chemistry and physics, along with collaborative spaces for staff.

The Spurlino Family YMCA’s gymnasium addition is an 18,345-square-foot expansion that will allow the facility to accommodate 500 additional families. The $6.6 million project will increase the YMCA’s capacity for summer camps, sports leagues, exercise classes, and other programming.

The Genshaft & Greenbaum building marks the company’s first collaboration with Tampa Preparatory School, while the YMCA gymnasium is the 17th such facility completed by the firm.
