Michael Saunders & Co. announces Sarasota’s highest-priced home sale of 2025 (PHOTOS)

A waterfront home under construction in Sarasota’s Harbor Acres neighborhood has sold for $14.8 million, marking the highest-priced residential sale in Sarasota County so far this year, according to Michael Saunders & Company.

The 6,500-square-foot bayfront home at 1490 Hillview Drive includes five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a three-car garage, a whole-house generator and elevator access to all levels. Designed by Stephen Balut, in collaboration with MHK Architects, and built by Voigt Brothers Construction, the residence sits on a half-acre lot with 100 feet of south-facing waterfront on Sarasota Bay.

Located within walking distance of Southside Village and downtown Sarasota, the home features expansive views, outdoor terraces and a private pool.

Barbara Sassen May and Fred Sassen, of Michael Saunders & Co., represented both the buyer and seller in the off-market transaction. The buyer’s identity was not disclosed.

Michael Saunders & Co., now in its 49th year, leads the region in sales of homes priced over $1 million, with more than $454 million in sales of properties priced above $3 million across Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties.
