TBBW presents the finalists for the 2025 Apogee Awards (VIDEO)

Tampa Bay Business and Wealth has announced 45 finalists for its 2025 Apogee Awards program, along with two exceptional honors for TBBW’s Icon Award and the newly created Impact Award.

After a day of deliberations in TBBW’s external conference room, five judges selected the finalists from nearly 200 submissions.

The Apogee Awards is a unique program created by TBBW to recognize distinguished C-suite and top-level executives whose dedication to their industries and communities deserves particular recognition.

Presenting sponsors of the 2025 Apogee Awards include Holland & Knight, The William Stanley CFO Group, Amerant Bank and Vistage Florida. United Way Suncoast is the nonprofit partner for the Apogee Awards.

This year’s panel of judges included:

  • Sarah Combs, chief executive officer, University Area Community Development Corp.; incoming CEO of Metropolitan Ministries; Women Who Win Overall Winner, 2024
  • Heather Ford, chief financial officer, Power Design; Apogee Award winner, 2023
  • John H. Hill Jr., managing partner, Hyde Park Capital; Apogee Award winner, 2024
  • Laura Sherman, founding partner and co-founder, Baldwin Group; Apogee Award winner, 2023
  • Jerry Telson, chief operating officer, Sweetheart Ice Cream; Apogee Award winner, 2024

An awards program will recognize the finalists and celebrate winners, in each category, with a cocktail reception and sit-down dinner, at 6 p.m., Sept. 17 at Armature Works.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Subcategories were created by the judges by reviewing revenue and employee count. This is to ensure fair comparison and competition among nominees. TBBW’s award packet policy states no revenue is to be shared from award packets. For questions surrounding this policy, please contact Jo-Lynn Brown at [email protected].
