Tampa’s Illuminate Group partners with Compass Group to launch new cold chain platform

The Illuminate Group, a Tampa-based provider of cold chain design and management solutions, has partnered with Compass Group Equity Partners to launch a new cold chain platform aimed at accelerating growth and innovation in the sector.

The strategic partnership, facilitated by Kensington Park Capital as exclusive investment banker, is expected to significantly expand Illuminate’s research and development capabilities and position the company for its next phase of expansion. StillPoint Capital, also based in Tampa, served as the broker/dealer for the securities transaction.

With the backing of Compass Group, a St. Louis-based private equity firm, Illuminate plans to triple its R&D capacity through new investments in testing and research infrastructure. The move will support both product innovation and streamlined onboarding for new clients, according to a statement.
