20 Questions with Lennise Germany

Starting in 2014, by selling meals from her family vehicle, Livy O’s has grown under Lennise Germany’s leadership to serve thousands of meals, daily, to charter schools and rehab facilities, cater weddings and banquets, and was even one of 16 caterers at the 2021 NFL Super Bowl. 

Germany regularly appears on ABC, NBC and Fox, sharing entrepreneurial tips and cooking demos. She serves on several community boards including the Bullard Family Foundation and Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce. 

  1. College alma mater? Eckerd College.

2. Favorite TV show of all time? The Cosby Show (I’m still a fan).

3. Preferred place for a business meeting? The Oxford Exchange.

4. Most used phone app? ChatGPT.

5. What time do you wake up on workdays? 4:45 a.m.

6. What’s a life hack you swear by? Brain Dump. It’s such a powerful tool.

7. First album/cassette tape/CD you remember buying? All Eyes on Me by TuPac. 

8. Favorite local restaurant? Union New American.

9. Last book you read? The 5am Club by Robin Sharma.

10. Biggest business failure?  Falling for the potential verses focusing on the facts. This was a hard lesson in nearly every area of my business.

11. What was your first cell phone? Nokia.

12. Something you cook really well? Everything, but I love to cook fried catfish and grits (I’m a true southern girl).

13. Most famous person you’ve ever met? “Iron” Mike Tyson.

14. What is the last thing that made you laugh, really hard? Watching my 45(+) year old husband prove to our teenage kids that he could breakdance. It was epic! 

15. What is a movie you will NEVER watch again? Soul Plane (No thank you)!

16. Last place you traveled for fun? Puerto Rico for a girls trip. 

17. What was your first car? 1981 Nissan Datson.

18. Charity you support? The Bullard Foundation.  

19. What is something silly you got in trouble for as a child? Taking my parents rent money to school and flashing it to my friends as if it were my money. 

20. Best advice ever received? While living the American Dream, remember that nightmares are dreams too.
