The Tampa Bay Wave and the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business are launching the fifth annual FinTech|X Accelerator on Aug. 4.
The 2025 cohort will bring together a group of startups worldwide.
Since its inception, the program’s alumni, including Paperstack, Viva Finance and Ascent, have raised more than $95 million and generated close to $60 million in revenue.
“The FinTech|X Accelerator is not just about building companies, it’s about shaping the future of finance,” said Linda Olson, founder and chief executive officer of Tampa Bay Wave. “Tampa Bay has emerged as a rising fintech hub and we’re proud to play a leading role in attracting and supporting the innovators who are driving that momentum.”
The 8-week program combines hands-on guidance from fintech leaders with investor connections, curated programming and pitch opportunities. Focus areas include banking, blockchain, payments, wealth and more.
The program is powered by USF’s Muma College of Business and its Fintech Center. The 2025 cohort will be announced soon, with a public kickoff event planned for August.
