Atlanta gets a rare taste of Bern’s Steak House this October

Tampa institution to serve multi-course menu with rare wine pairings Oct. 7; select steaks featured Oct. 8–9.

Reverence, the signature restaurant at Epicurean Atlanta, will host a special dining event when Tampa’s acclaimed Bern’s Steak House takes over the kitchen, Tuesday, Oct. 7. The one-night experience, titled A Rare & Well-Done Experience, begins at 6 p.m., and features a multi-course menu paired with rare vintages. Tickets are $375 per person, and seating is limited.

Bern’s, recognized by the MICHELIN Guide and celebrated for its 500,000-bottle cellar and upstairs Harry Waugh Dessert Room, will send a team including owner and president David Laxer, executive chef Chad Johnson, head sommelier Brad Dixon and pastry chef Hannah Thomas.

“While the takeover is just for a limited time, Epicurean Atlanta and its sister property, Epicurean Tampa, were both born from a shared vision between Mainsail Lodging & Development and Bern’s Steak House,” said Joe Collier, president and founder of Mainsail Lodging & Development. “We’re thrilled to spotlight that original connection and give Atlantans the chance to experience Bern’s Steak House firsthand.”

Laxer added, “Bern’s Steak House has always been about more than a meal; it’s about creating an unforgettable experience around the table…. We’re honored to share a taste of our heritage with Reverence’s guests.”

Reverence is the flagship restaurant of Epicurean Atlanta, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, while Bern’s Steak House, founded in Tampa in 1956, is known for its dry-aged steaks, award-winning wine program and acclaimed dessert room.
