Breweries partnering with National Pediatric Cancer Foundation to serve craft beer with a cause

Breweries, in more than 30 states, across the United States have partnered for the second year of Brewing Funds the Cure, an initiative created to help raise funds for the Tampa-based National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

In October, craft brewers worked to create the signature craft beer Rising Hope, an IPA that will be sold on draft, or in cans, at participating breweries. All proceeds from sales of the signature beer will go to NPCF, according to a statement.

In 2019, Rising Hope sales raised more than $125,000.

NPCF partner, World of Beer, has chosen to donate a percentage of their select beers at its 50 locations nationwide to the cause, donating $1 per beer, from a featured draft, through December.

The recipe for Raising Hope was created through donations from the Country Malt Group, with a location in Plant City, Yakima Chief Hops, Amoretti Fruit Puree and brewmasters from Tampa-based Cigar City Brewing and Brew Bus Brewing,

Additional opportunities to get involved include a Tap Handle Program, which allows individual establishments to donate a percentage of sales per pour from the draft of their choice, to NPCF for a week, month or longer. This program is available year-round.

Rising Hope is only available while supplies last, throughout the fall.[image_slider_no_space on_click=”prettyphoto” height=”300″ images=”9683,9681,9680,9679″]
