About the County

What Is Pinellas County?

Pinellas County is a 280-square-mile peninsula between Tampa Bay and the Gulf, with nearly 950,000 residents spread across St. Petersburg, Clearwater and 22 other municipalities, along with unincorporated communities. Its compact geography brings together major employment centers, dense urban districts, coastal communities, St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport and one of Florida’s largest tourism markets.

The county’s economy extends from tourism and hospitality to manufacturing, technology, financial services, health care, aviation and aerospace. TBBW Magazine follows the companies and decisions shaping that economy, including major developments, corporate expansions, real estate deals, public projects and local government actions affecting businesses across Pinellas County.
