The Ryan Nece Foundation, in partnership with National Christian Foundation Tampa Bay, is distributing 15,000 masks to health care and front line workers throughout Hillsborough County.

The 15,000 masks are being provided to health care and public service facilities including Tampa General Hospital, Tampa Fire Rescue, Hillsborough County Emergency Management, St. Joseph’s Hospital, James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital, USF Health and Metropolitan Ministries, among others.

The foundation has already provided 600 N95 masks to Community Health Centers of Pinellas County, another 600 masks to Hillsborough County Emergency Management and an additional 600 masks were divided between Feeding Tampa Bay, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Advent Health and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, according to a statement.

The Ryan Nece Foundation was established in 2006, by former NFL linebacker Ryan Nece.

Nece played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2002 to 2007.

The foundation’s mission is to create opportunities for teens to embrace giving through volunteerism and inspirational leadership programs.

The National Christian Foundation is a charitable organization that provides families and business owners a “multi-family office” foundation experience, serving as personal foundation staff.
