Vology announces new appointments in the c-suite

Vology, an information technology, cloud and security services firm in Tampa, has announced new appointments to the company’s c-suite.

Tom York, (pictured above) a current board member at Vology, was named CEO and Steve Torres was promoted to president and board member.

Steve Torres

York is an experienced IT services and support executive. He spent a decades-long career with IBM, followed by leading private equity-owned IT services companies through turnarounds, transformation and reinvention strategies, according to a statement.

Torres previously was chief operating and financial officer from 2007 to 2016. In October 2019, Vology recruited Torres back to the company.

Previous CEO, Barry Shevlin, left Vology and joined Tampa’s Skyway Capital Market in April.
