Charlie Crist presented St. Petersburg College a $1 million grant, at the SPC Midtown Center, for the Tampa Bay Bridge to the Baccalaureate Alliance program to help increase diversity and support the advancement of Black, Hispanic and underrepresented communities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics degrees.

Tech Data, an IT distributor in Clearwater, has a definitive agreement to acquire Innovix Distribution, a Hong Kong-based IT distributor in Asia.

John A. Moore was named president of Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and senior vice president of Orlando Health’s West Division, LaTasha R. Barnes will serve as the hospital’s chief financial officer and Omar Gonzalez will assume the role of corporate director for Bayfront Health St. Petersburg’s IT and clinical engineering.

The Wall Springs Park Coastal addition is now open, at 621 Wai Lani Road in Palm Harbor, adding 125 extra acres to the existing 84-acre Wall Springs Park area.
