Buddy Brew Coffee co-founders, Dave and Susan Ward, presented a donation check for $6,435 to onbikes.
The donation represents proceeds from two annual coffee collaborations, Joy Ride Roast, which comes out late fall, and Shipwreck Roast, which comes out each spring.
“We love onbikes because their mission is so simple, yet so profound,” said Dave Ward, in the statement. “Too many children are missing out on the simple joys of childhood, like having a bike of their own.”
Onbikes, based in Tampa, has donated more than 7,000 bicycles to children in need across the state and beyond, according to a statement.
“Onbikes’ work dovetails perfectly with our ‘Brew Good, Do Good mission,’” said Susan Ward. “We are grateful to give back to this outstanding organization that has done so much for the Tampa community.”
