The Tampa Bay area is going purple for Alzheimer’s awareness on The Longest Day

Landmarks in the Tampa Bay area will be lighting up with the Alzheimer’s Association’s signature color purple on Sunday, June 20, to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease.

Participating locations will include:

The Skyway Bridge, St. Petersburg

The Suntrust/Truist building, downtown Tampa

Forbici, Vineyard Vines, The Wine Exchange, Irish 31, Kendra Scott, Hyde Park

Armature Works, Tampa

James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art, St. Petersburg

City of Dunedin.

Done in recognition of The Longest Day, an annual Alzheimer’s Association fundraiser, the event follows Gov. Ron DeSantis’ June 1 proclamation recognizing June as Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month in Florida.
