Longtime chief assistant Hillsborough County attorney Jennie Granahan Tarr joined Shumaker Advisors Florida as director of local government affairs.

Guaranteed Rate, a retail mortgage lender, named Rachel Saylor Brown as a branch manager and vice president of mortgage lending.

The Florida Department of Transportation named Tampa International Airport CEO, Joe Lopano, its aviation director of the Year, and Tampa Executive Airport won general aviation airport of the year.

Tampa-based Bloomin’ Brands, which operates several restaurants including Outback Steakhouse, plans to open an Aussie Grill restaurant in Clearwater.

Kristin Johnson, market development director for managed services at Atlas Professional Services, has joined the board of directors for Tampa-based nonprofit Lighthouse for the Blind & Low Vision.

Jeff Dervech, of Dervech Real Estate, arranged the $1.925 million sale of a 3,748-square-foot retail restaurant building at 122 S Howard Ave., Tampa.

NAI Thor Commercial Group, a commercial real estate brokerage firm serving the Gulf Coast and Southwest sections of Florida, revealed NAI Skyway National Partners as its new corporate name.
