Four judges from the Tampa Bay area have selected the finalists for Tampa Bay Business and Wealth’s Philanthropists of the Year Awards 2023.

The Philanthropists of the Year Awards honors those individuals who lead the way, in Tampa Bay, through philanthropic devotion. These leaders continually set the bar for excellence in community leadership and represent the change-makers we all aspire to be.

Our judges included Cammie Chatterton, president and owner of Bay Food Brokerage, Scott Fink, chief executive officer of the Fink Auto Group, Mariah Hayden, executive director of New Life Village, and Freddy Williams, president and CEO of the Boys &. Girls Clubs of the Suncoast.

Nomination packets were reviewed blind, with names and company titles redacted. Finalists were chosen based, purely, on the material provided in their packets.

An awards program will recognize the honorees with a cocktail reception and sit-down dinner at Armature Works at 6 p.m., on November 7. At the event, a winner in each category will be named and celebrated.

TBBW’s Philanthropists of the Year Awards are presented by LMCU, Duke Energy, Community Foundation Tampa Bay and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa. The event is sponsored by the Valspar Championship | Copperheads.
