Exclusive: TBBW announces 2024 Women Who Win Award finalists (VIDEO)(PHOTOS)

Tampa Bay Business and Wealth has announced the finalists for its 2024 Women Who Win Awards.

Women Who Win is a unique awards program, created by TBBW Magazine, to recognize distinguished women leaders whose dedication to their industries and communities deserves recognition. Judges looked at business and professional success, community involvement and mentorship, as pillars in their judging.

This year the judges didn’t even know the nominees’ names. Making this the most transparent, ethical and coveted recognition in the region.

Moving forward, on all TBBW Awards programs, individual’s names will be omitted from nomination packets, for judging purposes. This is an effort from TBBW to ensure that award finalists and winners are chosen, purely, on merit and their packet submitted to judges.

Nominations for this year’s awards program continued to exceed expectations, with nearly 300 women being submitted from the community.

Women Who Win judges included Lori Larsen, chief strategy officer at Celestar (TBBW Award Winner, 2023), Joe Lopano, chief executive officer at Tampa International Airport (Apogee Award Winner, 2022), Jessica Muroff, CEO at United Way Suncoast (TBBW Award Winner, 2023), Suhail Rifaie, president and CEO at Sweetheart Ice Cream, Avril Stinson, vice president, economic inclusion and leadership development at the Tampa Bay Chamber (TBBW Award Winner, 2023) and Gretchen Whalen, managing partner, Tampa office at CLA.

Thank you to our judges! For nine hours, without any breaks, they read through nearly 130 unique packets, some a daunting 20 pages long, and chose the finalists and winners. One judge even commented on the difficulty of choosing because the choices were between great, better and best.

An awards program will recognize finalists with a cocktail reception and gala, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa, at 6 p.m., April 19.

Presenting sponsors for the event are Broadstaff, Morgan Auto Group and TD Bank. Our nonprofit partner is Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties. The event is sponsored by M.E. Wilson.

Congratulations! Meet the 2024 finalists!
