Tampa nonprofit evacuates 51 Americans and allies from Haiti’s Capital in rescue mission

Jo-Lynn Brown March 28, 2024

Project Dynamo, a Tampa-based, veteran-led nonprofit that executes international rescue missions, has announced the successful rescue of 51 individuals during a helicopter rescue mission in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

The evacuees, ranging from ages from 4 months old to 75 years old, are now in a safe location, the organization is reporting.

Project Dynamo focuses on what they call “The Gray Space,” areas where there is no, or ineffective, U.S. government presence.

To support the organization’s ongoing efforts in Haiti, and around the world, please visit projectdynamo.org/donate/.
