Local Partners unite to inspire future female leaders in STEM

The Florida Aquarium and the Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI) are teaming up with Hillsborough County Public Schools and ZooTampa at Lowry Park to inspire young girls in middle and high school to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) through the Tampa Bay all-girls summer camp.

This immersive, week-long camp offers a unique blend of interactive learning and real-world experiences aimed at empowering the next generation of female STEM leaders.

The camp will involve the girls building Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) under the guidance of the Advanced Manufacturing & Robotics Center Fab Lab, learning about critical manatee care at ZooTampa at Lowry Park and finally, testing their ROVs at The Florida Aquarium in their coral reef habitat.
