TBBW presents the finalists for Apogee Awards 2024 (VIDEO)

Jo-Lynn Brown March 11, 2025

After a record-breaking 10 hours in the Tampa Bay Business and Wealth office, five external judges selected 45 finalists for the 2024 Apogee Awards, in addition to two exceptional honors for TBBW’s Icon Award and its newly created Impact Award.

The Apogee Awards is a unique awards program, created by TBBW magazine, to recognize distinguished c-suite leaders whose dedication to their industries and communities deserves particular recognition.

Presenting sponsors of the 2024 Apogee Awards include Forvis Mazars, SouthState Bank and Vistage Florida. The United Way Suncoast is the Apogee Awards Nonprofit Partner.

This year’s panel of judges included:

Cari Ellison, director of marketing and communication, Ellison Construction

Valerie Ellis Lavin, chief executive officer, Luminary

Leroy Moore, senior vice president and chief operating officer, Tampa Housing Authority

Aakash Patel, founder and president, Elevate

Billy West, president, M.E. Wilson

An awards program will recognize finalists, and celebrate winners in each category, with a cocktail reception and sit-down dinner, at Armature Works, at 6 p.m., on September 18.
