► Pasco County commissioners have approved a large, mixed-use project, called the Interstate 75 “gateway” at State Road 52, with industrial, commercial and a mixture of residential developments, on a 785-acre property, northwest of the interchange. 

► Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Lisa Yeager to fill the Pasco County Commission seat vacated with the death of Gary Bradford.

► Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties opened its new office space in New Port Richey, at 7237 Little Road. 

► Pasco County Commissioners voted in favor to overhaul Wesley Chapel Boulevard and a contract with David Nelson Construction to handle the nearly $70 million project. 

► Kieu Simms, a 16-year-old Hudson native and artistic roller skater, will compete for the World Championship in Italy, in September.

► Dade City Commission finished construction on a new splash pad near downtown Dade City and opened it on May 23.

► Pasco County Libraries and the Tampa Bay Rays have teamed up to bring back Reading with the Rays presented by Suncoast Credit Union at various libraries until August 31.

► Metropolitan Ministries expanded their family services, in Pasco County, by enlarging their MiraclePlace Pasco campus and adding 24 residential units.

► Keep Pasco Beautiful celebrated World Oceans Day by hosting a beach clean-up event at Anclote Gulf Park on June 8.

► Pasco County Animal Services has temporarily suspended all dog operations in the Land O’ Lakes shelter due to a rise of Canine Influenza.
