PGA TOUR’s Valspar Championship to retain title sponsor through 2030

Valspar will extend its title sponsorship of the PGA TOUR’s Valspar Championship through 2030.

The event, held annually on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort since 2000, offers an $8.7 million purse. The winner will receive 500 FedExCup points and $1.72 million. Defending champion Peter Malnack is set to return, after capturing his first PGA TOUR victory in over eight years, in 2024.

“As the final event of the PGA TOUR’s Florida Swing, the Valspar Championship plays a key role in the buildup to the FedExCup season,” PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan said. “Valspar’s support has been important to our efforts in the Sunshine State.”

The tournament will be broadcast on NBC/Peacock, GOLF Channel, the NBC Sports App, NBCSports.com and PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+ and, internationally, via the TOUR’s World Feed.

The tournament also marks the 10th anniversary of the Valspar Caddie Hat Program, which rewards PGA TOUR caddies with perks and special events throughout the season.

Rondé Barber, tournament general co-chair and head of Copperhead Charities, said Valspar’s continued support has a positive impact on local charitable, economic and tourism efforts. “We appreciate our partnership with Valspar and its contribution to our Tampa Bay community,” Barber said.

In other Valspar news, First Horizon Bank was named the official, and exclusive, bank of the Valspar Championship. The multi-year partnership includes First Horizon serving as the title sponsor of Executive Women’s Day and making an annual donation to a Tampa Bay-area charity.

The Valspar Championship is set to return to Tampa Bay from March 17 to March 23.
