Habitat for Humanity of Tampa Bay Gulfside hosted a volunteer build day, exclusively for the finalists of Tampa Bay Business and Wealth’s 2025 Women Who Win awards.
For the third consecutive year, Habitat Tampa Bay Gulfside is the nonprofit partner for the Women Who Win Awards. The Finalists met at Habitat’s Longlake Preserve Townhome neighborhood on the Clearwater-Largo border. They assisted with tasks that included taping and sealing exterior windows, as well as energy-saving measures on the interior framing of the townhomes.
Longlake Preserve is a multi-phase neighborhood development that, upon completion, will provide homes to 54 families. With the first two phases complete, 15 families are already settling into their new homes. The entire community is on track to be completed by the end of this year.
This year marks 40 years of impact for Habitat Tampa Bay Gulfside, which empowers individuals and families to build and purchase their own homes with the support of our community. Homes are sold with a 0% interest mortgage to households who do not qualify for a traditional mortgage in Pinellas, West Pasco and Hernando Counties. Habitat Tampa Bay Gulfside will dedicate its 1000th home this summer.
