Berger Singerman, a business law firm with offices throughout Florida, has opened a new 7,500-square-foot office, in downtown Tampa, and added two attorneys to its business reorganization team.
Edward J. Peterson III joins the firm as a partner, bringing more than 25 years of experience in bankruptcy and insolvency law. He will be based in the new Tampa office, in the Bank of America building, alongside associate James Eising, who also joins the firm.
Peterson is a Chambers-ranked attorney and a past president of the Turnaround Management Association of Florida and the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association. His practice spans out-of-court workouts, complex bankruptcies and litigation involving creditors, debtors and fiduciaries. With Peterson’s addition, Berger Singerman now has four Fellows from the American College of Bankruptcy.
Eising previously worked at a Florida law firm and was a judicial extern in U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Before practicing law, he served 20 years in the U.S. Army, including as a Green Beret in the 5th Special Forces Group.
