Shumaker launches two new legal service lines, names leaders in immigration and tech

Shumaker has expanded its legal offerings with the launch of two new service lines focused on immigration and technology, data privacy, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

The firm, which has offices in the Tampa Bay area and is headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, also announced new leadership for these areas:

Maria del Carmen Ramos, Partner – Immigration National Service Line Leader

Olivia Johnson, Partner – Immigration Regional Service Line Leader

Jade Davis, Partner – Technology, Data Privacy, Cybersecurity & AI National Service Line Leader

Brian Focht, Senior Counsel – Technology, Data Privacy, Cybersecurity & AI Regional Service Line Leader

The new practice areas address issues such as cross-border workforce mobility, data security, regulatory compliance and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
