Bojangles returns to Tampa Bay Nov. 4 with new restaurant

Bojangles opens its first Tampa Bay restaurant in Pinellas Park on November 4, expanding its Southern roots across Florida.

Bojangles, the Southern-born fast food chain known for its fried chicken and made-from-scratch biscuits, will make its Tampa Bay return in Pinellas Park on November 4 at 7930 U.S. Highway 19 North.

The move reflects Tampa Bay’s growing pull for national brands and new investment. For Bojangles, it marks another step in a larger plan that includes five Florida openings and 18 new locations nationwide before the end of 2025.

Expansion plans

The City of Pinellas Park confirmed the opening and announced a media-only “biscuit cutting” and tasting on November 3. The event will feature city officials and Bojangles executives welcoming the brand to Tampa Bay.

“We are ecstatic about introducing Bojangles to the Tampa area and can’t wait to bring our unique Southern charm to Pinellas Park,” he said.

City Manager Bart Diebold called the restaurant a major win for the community, noting that Pinellas Park has built a consistent record of supporting business investment.

A win for Pinellas County

The restaurant will open to the public at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4. Local leaders expect a strong turnout. Bojangles has also indicated more Florida openings are underway.

Pinellas Park reports more than 4,500 active businesses, with 92% employing fewer than 20 people and over 100 manufacturing firms operating within the city limits.

The bigger picture

For Tampa Bay business leaders, Bojangles’ arrival signals continued confidence in the region’s consumer economy. It also reinforces Pinellas County’s position as a center for both retail and industrial growth.

National chains bring more than name recognition. They add jobs, increase tax revenue and show that the local market remains strong despite higher costs and shifting consumer habits.

Developers, brokers and investors can read this as further evidence of sustained demand for food and retail space in Tampa Bay.

What to expect

Residents and local business owners can take part in opening day activities and welcome the brand back to the region.

Businesses interested in expansion can contact the City of Pinellas Park’s Community Development Department for help with site selection, permitting and partnership opportunities.

The bigger picture

Bojangles’ return in Pinellas Park represents more than a single store opening. It highlights how national brands view Tampa Bay as a market with long-term promise.
