Allegiant adds a new nonstop route from St. Pete Clearwater to Trenton

Allegiant will launch a new nonstop route next year connecting St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport to Trenton-Mercer Airport in New Jersey.

The flight begins Feb. 20, 2026, with one-way fares starting at $49.

The announcement is part of a larger expansion that adds 30 new routes across the country. Allegiant is adding service in 35 cities and entering four new markets as part of its 2026 schedule.

Mark Sprague, interim director of St. Pete Clearwater International Airport, said the new route continues the airport’s long run with the airline. He said the partnership has helped drive travel demand and supports visitors who want direct flights to the Gulf Coast.

“Celebrating our 19th year with Allegiant, we are excited to add a new non-stop route to the Northeast with the addition of New Jersey’s capital, Trenton,” Sprague said.

New routes coming in 2026

Allegiant’s expansion includes flights to and from:

  • La Crosse, Wisconsin via La Crosse Regional Airport (LSE)
  • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, via Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)
  • Trenton, New Jersey via Trenton Mercer Airport (TTN)
  • Columbia, Missouri via Columbia Regional Airport (COU)

The airline said the new flights will serve leisure travelers seeking simple, affordable trips. Allegiant is known for connecting small and mid-size cities with popular vacation areas. The company said demand for value-focused travel continues to grow.

Drew Wells, Allegiant’s chief commercial officer, said the expansion reflects strong interest among travelers seeking direct, low-cost service.

“We’re thrilled to continue Allegiant’s growth by adding these new routes,” Wells said. “Our mission has always been to connect travelers to world-class destinations at an affordable price. These additions provide convenient options for leisure travelers and reflect our commitment to expanding service where demand is strong.”

Why it matters

The St. Pete Clearwater airport has become a major entry point for tourists who visit the region’s beaches. More nonstop flights help support tourism, business travel and the region’s hospitality sector.

The new Trenton route strengthens access for families and visitors from Central New Jersey and nearby communities.

It also creates another option for local travelers who want direct service to the Northeast without flying through a large hub.

Affordable fares remain a core part of Allegiant’s strategy. The company said its average base airfare is less than half the typical domestic round-trip ticket.

Booking information

Tickets for the new routes are available at Allegiant.com.

Intro fares must be bought by Nov. 19, 2025, for travel through Aug. 18, 2026. Seats and dates are limited. Optional baggage fees and other restrictions may apply.
