New Palmetto community brings 95 single family homes

A new 95 home community opens in Palmetto with pricing starting at $329,990 and no CDD fees.

Mattamy Homes has opened a new residential community in Palmetto, adding a 95-home development to the north end of the Tampa Bay housing market.

The community, called Sanderling, features single-family homes priced from $329,990 with no CDD fees.

Homes range from 1,504 to 2,799 square feet and include two to four bedrooms with two to 3.5 baths.

The development sits just off U.S. Route 41 and 19, within five minutes of Interstates 75 and 275.

The location places residents within easy reach of Bradenton, St. Petersburg and Tampa while remaining close to Gulf beaches and coastal recreation.

Sanderling includes eight floor plans, ranging from one- to two-story designs.

Each home features an open-concept layout with connected living and dining spaces and a covered lanai to extend living space outdoors.

Standard features include stainless steel kitchen appliances, washer and dryer, paver driveways and front entry walks.

Select plans offer lofts and flex rooms designed to adapt to home office or family needs.

Two furnished model homes, the Woodruff and the Brookstone, are now open for tours.

Buyers can choose from homes scheduled for March move-ins or customize ready-to-build options.

The community is located near Terra Ceia Preserve State Park, Tampa Bay waterways and Manatee River boat ramps.

Anna Maria Island, St. Pete Beach and Bradenton Beach are all within a 30-minute drive.

Bob Meyn, president of Mattamy’s Tampa division, said the project was designed to meet demand from buyers seeking location and flexibility.

“We are excited about Sanderling and our new homes, which we carefully designed to fill the needs of today’s homebuyers,” Meyn said. “The community’s beautiful, convenient setting provides the benefits of coastal living with proximity to everyday needs and employment centers.”

Mattamy Homes operates in 11 U.S. markets, including Tampa, Sarasota, Orlando and Jacksonville.

The company has more than 47 years of history across the U.S. and Canada and delivers more than 8,000 homes annually.

For the Tampa Bay region, the Palmetto development reflects continued northward residential growth as buyers seek attainable pricing paired with regional access.
