Yo Mama’s Foods’ Instacart growth has earned national recognition.
The Clearwater-based clean-label food company founded by David Habib, has been named one of Instacart’s Top 75 Fastest Growing Brands of 2025.
The recognition places Yo Mama’s Foods’ Instacart performance among a small group of consumer brands showing sustained national momentum across digital grocery channels.
The company is currently ranked among the top 10 pasta sauce brands in the United States, according to Instacart.
The full list was released this week and reflects growth across sales volume, repeat purchasing and geographic reach on the platform.
From Clearwater kitchen to national shelves
Founded in 2017, Yo Mama’s Foods began as a home-kitchen operation in Clearwater, built around a simple rule that still guides the brand: if an ingredient would not be found in a family pantry, it does not go into the product.
That approach helped the company stand out early as consumers increasingly looked for sauces and condiments without added sugar or artificial ingredients.
In a 2024 Tampa Bay Business & Wealth cover story, Habib described the brand’s origins as rooted in family dinners and food as a way to bring people together rather than just something to sell.

The company officially launched on Mother’s Day and initially gained traction on Amazon, where Yo Mama’s sauces climbed search rankings as low-carb and keto eating trends took off.
That digital momentum helped open doors to traditional retail.
Expansion across retail and e-commerce
Yo Mama’s Foods products are now sold in more than 25,000 stores nationwide and distributed in over 20 countries.
The company’s lineup has expanded beyond pasta sauce to include dressings, condiments and protein pastas, all built around the same clean-label philosophy.
Retail growth accelerated between 2020 and 2023 as more consumers cooked at home and prioritized ingredient transparency.

National chains including Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Kroger later added the brand to shelves.
Instacart has become an increasingly important channel as grocery shopping habits continue to shift online, particularly for repeat pantry staples.
Being named to the platform’s fastest-growing brands list reflects not only reach but also consistent customer reordering.
“This recognition is incredibly meaningful to our team and our community,” Habib said in a statement. “To be building something right here in Clearwater and seeing it resonate across the country is humbling.”
National exposure ahead
Yo Mama’s Foods is also scheduled to be featured on Good Morning America on January 15, further extending the brand’s national visibility.
The segment comes as the company continues to scale operations while remaining privately held and founder-led, a balance Habib has said is intentional even as the brand grows.

In previous interviews with TBBW, Habib has described fast growth as a learning process marked by early missteps, staffing challenges and a focus on building systems that can support long-term expansion.
Despite the national footprint, the company remains headquartered in Clearwater, where Habib has said staying rooted matters as much as growth metrics.
For Yo Mama’s Foods, the Instacart recognition signals something beyond a single platform milestone.
It reflects how a regional brand built around simplicity and consistency has translated into repeat demand at a national level.
