Nearly 400 apartments could replace the Ramada Tampa Westshore under plans for a mixed-use redevelopment at the 4.3-acre site at 1200 N. West Shore Blvd.
The plans from Tampa-based Cardinal Point Management call for 398 apartments, about 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail and a 701-space parking garage near Interstate 275, Tampa International Airport and International Plaza.
The 237-room hotel, built in 1973, is set to be demolished under a City of Tampa application to remove the existing building and related site improvements. Property records show 1200 Westshore LLC, tied to Gregory Williams of Cardinal Point Management, bought the site for $18.9 million in 2021. Williams was not immediately available for comment.

Renderings show a new development with structured parking, retail space on the ground level and apartments above, replacing the old hotel in a part of Westshore that has mostly office buildings, surface parking and hotels. The site is within walking distance of International Plaza and Westshore Mall and just minutes from downtown Tampa, Raymond James Stadium and the airport.
Cardinal Point’s marketing materials describe the property as a rare redevelopment opportunity in a high-demand corridor, with potential for both apartments and retail near Tampa’s largest employment centers.
