Private club to anchor Sarasota’s Bath + Racquet redevelopment

Bath + Racquet Residences & Club unveiled plans for a private members’ club that will anchor its Sarasota redevelopment, adding tennis, pickleball, padel, fitness, dining and wellness amenities as the project moves toward its first residential move-ins later this year.

The club will occupy roughly 45,000 square feet of indoor space and more than 3.3 acres of outdoor recreation areas as part of the redevelopment of Sarasota’s former Bath & Racquet Club. Membership will be available to residents and a limited number of nonresident founding members, creating a private-club component within the 256-unit community.

Plans call for 12 tennis courts, eight pickleball courts and two padel courts, along with fitness and recovery facilities, spa services, sauna and cold-plunge amenities, an outdoor heated pool, dining venues and social gathering spaces.

The club is expected to open around the same time residents begin moving into the development, currently projected for December.

Bath + Racquet also named former world No. 2 tennis player Tommy Haas as global ambassador and a curator of club programming. Haas, who won 15 ATP singles titles and earned an Olympic silver medal during a professional career that spanned more than two decades, will help shape programming and events at the club.

“At Bath + Racquet, we’re creating something far beyond the traditional private club model,” Haas said in a statement. “The vision is to build a destination where sport, hospitality, wellness and human connection naturally come together.”

The development is being led by Silver Sky Global Capital on the site of the former Bath & Racquet Club, a property long known as one of Sarasota’s premier tennis destinations.

Developers are repositioning the property as a mixed-use residential community centered on racquet sports, recreation, and hospitality amenities.

“Today’s buyers are looking for more than just a residence,” said Fabio Di Prima, president of Silver Sky Global Capital. “They’re seeking experiences, connection and a lifestyle rooted in well-being and community.”
