Bagels & Co., a Philadelphia-based breakfast and lunch chain, is preparing to open its first Tampa Bay restaurant as it continues expanding across Florida and the Southeast.
The restaurant will be located at 5004 E. Fowler Ave., near the University of South Florida, according to city records and the company’s website.
The Tampa restaurant is part of a broader expansion for the chain. Bagels & Co. operates 18 locations across Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida and lists additional restaurants coming soon in Tampa, Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as well as Athens, Georgia and Auburn, Alabama.
The company currently operates Florida restaurants in Gainesville, Tallahassee, Davie, Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach. The Tampa restaurant would be its first in the Tampa Bay region.
Bagels & Co. serves breakfast and lunch, offering bagels, breakfast sandwiches, coffee drinks and lunch sandwiches. The company also offers catering, online ordering and a customer loyalty program.
Bagels & Co. has not announced an opening date for the Tampa restaurant.
