Tesla to open 46,000 SF sales and service center in Tampa

Tesla is opening a new sales and service center on North Dale Mabry Highway, leasing the former EchoPark dealership.

The company plans to invest nearly $500,000 to renovate the existing dealership into a nearly 46,000-square-foot facility. Property records identify JT Dale Mabry Holdings LLC as the owner, with Tesla leasing the site.

The 6.7-acre property sits along one of Tampa’s busiest commercial corridors and had recently undergone extensive renovations before being marketed for sale or lease.

The Dale Mabry location will add to Tesla’s existing Tampa Bay network, which includes locations on North Florida Avenue, at International Plaza and in Lealman.

Long before it became a car dealership, the property was home to the Congress Inn, as seen in a 1961 photograph from the University of South Florida Libraries’ Gandy Collection.
