SoFresh is opening a new Valrico location, expanding the Tampa-based fast-casual restaurant brand’s presence in Hillsborough County.
Founded in Tampa in 2013, SoFresh has grown from a local concept into a multi-state restaurant brand serving made-to-order bowls, salads, wraps and quesadillas through a mix of corporate and franchise locations.
The company is bringing that growth to Lithia Crossing, a KRG-owned shopping center along Lithia Pinecrest Road that is undergoing a tenant refresh anchored by a new Whole Foods Market. The center also includes retailers and restaurants such as Panera Bread, Chili’s, Cold Stone Creamery, Warby Parker and Club Pilates.
SoFresh is preparing a restaurant at 3482 Lithia Pinecrest Road within the center. The location adds another food tenant to a retail corridor that has attracted new investment, including Whole Foods’ conversion of the former Fresh Market space into a 38,000-square-foot store and two additional tenant spaces.
KRG Lithia LLC has owned the property since acquiring it for $13.25 million in 2011, records show. The shopping center property includes multiple retail and restaurant buildings constructed in 2003 and carries a market value of about $16.5 million.
SoFresh has not disclosed an opening date, investment amount or planned staffing for the Valrico restaurant.
