United Vein & Vascular Centers opened two Tampa Bay clinics Monday, giving the Tampa-based medical company eight offices in its home market and 15 across Florida, part of a national network of more than 60 locations that is roughly twice the size it was when a private equity firm bought the company four years ago.
That buyer, Amulet Capital Partners, acquired United Vein in November 2022, when the company operated more than 30 clinics across Florida, Illinois, Colorado and Arizona. The Greenwich, Connecticut-based health care investor did not disclose what it paid, but laid out plans to add offices in existing and new markets and broaden the vascular conditions United Vein could treat outside hospitals.
The expansion has since carried United Vein into Georgia, Texas, New York and New Jersey, extending a network once concentrated in four states across eight.
From that national reach, two of the newest locations land back in Tampa Bay, where United Vein began seeing patients Monday at 4401 W. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 202, in South Tampa and 5858 Central Ave., Suite 1010, in St. Petersburg.
Inside those offices, board-certified vascular surgeon Dr. Patricia Fletcher leads the South Tampa clinic and surgeon and vein specialist Dr. Romina Deldar leads the St. Petersburg location, with both offering screenings and minimally invasive treatments for conditions including varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency and venous reflux.
United Vein was established in Florida in 2014, giving the company eight years of growth before Amulet’s acquisition accelerated its push beyond the state.
